The Los Angeles HEALTH Council
worked with the Los Angeles
Homeless Services Authority
(LAHSA) to increase access to
homeless shelters for transgender
individuals. This included educating
shelters about transgender rights,
and updating the LAHSA
nondiscrimination policy to include
gender identity and expression.
